HAMPTON, S.C. — Three men face charges in the home invasion and kidnapping of a 78-year-old South Carolina woman later found wounded in her car trunk.

Authorities said today that 30-year-old Stevie Lamont Aiken, his 29-year-old brother Derrick Ladel Aiken and 48-year-old Nathaniel Harris, all of Walterboro, face a variety of charges.

Hampton County Sheriff T.C. Smalls says Margaret Gooding of the Miley community was found Monday afternoon in her car near Walterboro and about 25 miles from home, 14 hours after she was abducted.

She was shot in the abdomen but is expected to recover. A man found her when he investigated a car parked by the road for several hours.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Shellie Murdaugh said none of those charged had attorneys as of late today.
