Someone broke into Sweet Lou’s restaurant at 1293 Broad St. on Saturday and stole a cash register.

A Richmond County sheriff’s report says that between 7 and 8:50 a.m. someone smashed the front glass door of the restaurant and took a beige Royal cash register containing about $100. The register was valued at about $100. Repair of the glass door will cost about $200, the report says.
