A blowtorch-wielding burglar set a 42-year-old womans hair on fire after breaking into her home Monday night.
The victim, who lives in Heritage Apartments on Heritage Circle, told Richmond County sheriffs deputies that two men wearing ski masks forced their way through her front door.
According to a Richmond County sheriffs report, the men forced her to the ground but she was able to get free and ran upstairs while screaming for help. The burglar with the blowtorch managed to burn some of the victims hair as she fled. A neighbor saw the burglar with the blowtorch standing outside the apartment and called deputies.
Both burglars fled the area on foot toward Jackson Road, the report said.
