Panelists and speakers at the forum include Richmond County Democratic Party Chairman Lowell Greenbaum, University of Georgia law school professor Fazal Khan, Athens emergency room doctor Neal Priest, and Athens insurance billing specialist Teresa Duncan.

The forum starts at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Evans library at 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd.

I would like for a supporter

I would like for a supporter of Obama's Health Care takeover to explaiin why the liberals don't attempt to start a new low cost insurance company ... the Wal-Mart of health insurance to compete in the free market with the existing health insurance companies. If the Democrats are correct and the high cost of health care is even partially caused by the high markups on insurance policies ... they would be able to undercut the existing companies and force the prices down for everyone. This would be the free market solution ... assuming the liberals are correct. However, if you notice the liberal business folks don't even believe their own claim ... because they haven't step in to fill this gap. The reason is simple the claim is a lie and they know it, and they are not willing to take the risk.

All I know is when it became

All I know is when it became madatory for us to have liability insurance on our car in Arkansas I thought insurance would be cheaper since they would have more business. Our liability insurance immediately quadrupled in price.

Ron, hate to tell ya, but we

Ron, hate to tell ya, but we liberals don't like Wal-Mart. They have a history of exploting their workers, they have historically had sexist pay scales, they are punitively anti-Union, and they refuse to sell birth control. The LAST THING THIS COUNTRY NEEDS is the "Wal-Mart of health insurance".

Go for it hotfool, Hate

Go for it hotfool, Hate America is the Obama health care plan. This country was formed to escape the 3rd world attitude and poorly educated and government brainwashed fools like you speak out in support. It's my guess that only those that feel they'll keep their present health care will show up in support of the government takeover system. Fools remain foolish until the end. Now is the time for you Dems to demonstrate it.

HotFoot ... no the last thing

HotFoot ... no the last thing you liberals want is a low cost health insurance company. What you do want is an excuse to take over the insurance industry and to do so you make up excuses with no bases in fact. Instead of going down a side trail with the Wal-Mart example ... why not answer the question about ... Why don't liberals take advantage of the high premimun markups and create a better insurance company with higher benefits and lower cost. The answer is simple ... the liberal's claim is false and the markup isn't high enough to justify the risk. Yet Obama care is based on this false claim and misses the real problems in health care completely.

ron_rlw, why don't you start

ron_rlw, why don't you start one? You conservatives point a lot of fingers but never do anything but whine and complain. Lead, follow, or get the heck out of the way. Oh, I forgot, y'all had eight long years to lead but failed. And, you smarty pants conservatives are the cause of the worst fiscal crisis ever? Or have you forgotten that a the last Prez was "conservative". Yeah right.

It's funny how you can add up

It's funny how you can add up how much Obama hasn't spent yet but fail to remember how much Bush and Cheney have spent on a useless war, how much of our money haliburton shoveled into their cofers, and how much money B and C shoveled into their own bank accounts. They got us where we are today. They did the first bailout! Remember that! All....All to the detriment of this country and it's citizens!
