Brandon Cameron was fired Wednesday after the department conducted an internal investigation into the incident involving the three-year, Public Safety veteran, said Lt. Tim Pearson.
Hes no longer employed with North Augusta as result of that investigation, he said.
Mr. Cameron, 27, was suspended from the department on Nov. 18 the same day he was arrested by Aiken County Sheriffs Office for criminal domestic violence.
According to the incident report, Mr. Cameron pulled his girlfriend out of a vehicle and threw her on the ground after a heated argument. The victim had a contusion on the right side of her head after the incident, according to the report.
Mr. Cameron and the victim were in the argument after the victim crashed their vehicle near the Windsor Fire Department on Middleton Road, according to reports.
