Richmond County investigators are searching for a woman they described as a known prostitute in this morning's stabbing death of a man at the Augusta Super Inn.
Anna Maria “Tattoo” Barrett, 45, is wanted on charges of murder and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, according to Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Scott Peebles.
Deputies found 44-year-old Jimmy Finley Jackson lying on a walkway at the hotel with multiple stab wounds on his body at about 4:17 a.m. He was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where he died of his injuries, police said.
In an e-mail, Lt. Peebles said investigators believe robbery was the motive in the attack and they are asking anyone with information on Ms. Barrett to call the Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1080.
This is the 21st murder in Richmond County this year.
Mr. Jackson's body has been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy on Saturday.

This story has been rewritten several times, originally the AC reported that he was found in a room
The story also fails to mention that it was a woman who called in and said "there is a nekkid man lying outside the door to my room who is bleeding". Now you have the rest of the story.....

i think this is a ashame that woman had no heart to take a son,brother, father and grandfather down for a few dollars. i hope the catches her , she will have to answwer to to the one true man, GOD, I hope she has the right answer . okay overburned that comment that his brother made was a response that came from frustration . it's okay expressing one self, however the damage has been done,.there are no take backs. However JUSTICE must be done and lets hope that law can handle this matter apporaitely so that NOOONE else can have to deal with a lost. If this was ur family member , i think u would feel litttle bothered by it to let out sum anger and hurt. so lets be compassionate to the family and pray that God gives them comfort. No where is really safe anymore.
