Gas station gunman sought

Authorities have identified a man wanted for an armed robbery of a gas station Friday.

Madison Antonio Lewis, 24, of 512 E.Seventh Street in Waynesboro, Ga., is wanted on charges of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to Richmond County sheriff’s Investigator Kendall Brown.

He is suspected of robbing the BP/Kangaroo Express Gas Station at 3001 Deans Bridge Road on Friday.

Mr. Lewis is known to frequent Cherry Tree Crossing and Olmstead Homes neighborhoods in Augusta. He wears his hair in dreadlocks and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1080 or (706) 821-1020.

Everyone who lives in Cherry Tree Crossing and Olmstead Homes is not a criminal just like everyone who wears their hair in dreadlocks isn't a criminal. @JerryAtric - get a grip!!
