The human cost of war...and the reason Bush invaded was what? How does he sleep at night...

Our prayers go out to SGT Williams' family and friends. Please be comforted knowing that he made the ultimate sacrifice while serving honorably and proudly to help keep the rest of the world as safe as possible.

back off, justus. This is not the place for stuff like that.

Our prayers for those he left behind. I do not envy them this Thanksgiving. Thank you for your sensitivity and compassion, Justus.

justazz, try violating numerous UN resolutions which the US supported and the firing on US aircraft supporting the UN no fly zone--which by the way, was an act of war. With that said, why we try to explain anything to your dumb azz is beyond me! RIP, Sgt Williams and my condolences to your family. I was a member of 3bde, 3id for 3.5 years. SLEDGEHAMMER!

Bush should be tried by the world court for crimes against humanity. He is just as responsible for the lives of of over 4000 soldiers as much as any dictator in the past.

It's been an all-volunteer military for a long, long time. Sgt Williams, God bless his selfless soul, likely made his decision to join after GWB started this campaign. As did a goodly number of our beloved fallen. You tarnish their service with your shoddy comments about the war.

If you send GWB to the Hague, then you'll have to send Obama, too, for he is no less, or more, responsible for every service member who has enlisted since taking office, and has since died in the line of duty. He's continuing the wars he promised to pull us out of. Criminal?

blackjackcool1

Is it "opinionated one" or idiot one? Evidence indicates strongly, it's the latter!

jboy

who in the h--- is the world court. What a bunch of idiots

SGT Williams is a true HERO in my book. My prayers go out to this family. This is a very hard thing to deal with especially at the holidays, but this family knows he did this willingly and without hesitation. God Bless you all.

How does he sleep at night...
Posted by justus4 on Tue Nov 24, 2009 6:17 AM - How does your great president also sleep at night. He could have maybe saved SGT Williams! He is killing more of our brave citizens.

Does anyone remember what happened on 9/11/2001? Don't give me the old tired cliche that Iraq had nothing to do with it - I suggest that you read a book called "Saddam's Secrets" written by General Georges Sada, who served in the Iraqi air force for a number of years and was one of the few that Saddam trusted - that book explains all sorts of connections between Iraq and other countries in the area. Our current resident of the White House is learning that he cannot speak everything into existence as he said during his campaign- only ONE has that authority. Anyone who chooses to serve in our military is a hero and those who give their lives should have a special place in our hearts because they are the ones who gave all to secure our freedoms, regardless of politics. The current commander in chief cannot decide whether or not to follow through on the recommendations of the commander in Afghanistan, a man HE picked so he's prolonging loss of life there because more troops are needed to accomplish the mission. This softness against radical Muslims gives one pause to wonder just whose cause our president wants to follow. Meanwhile heroes like SGT Williams and his family give all

RIP SGT Williams

This war must end! It is a senseless war without valid beginnings or purpose.

So justas "your" president can sleep at night?.........while barry fiddles and bends over for the despots of the world the soldiers fighting HIS GOOD WAR are dying.....idiot.

No Comments...As a combat Vet (I have seen war first-hand). May God be with SGT William's family........

CobaltGeorge

YES Lorraine, lets pull out of Afghanistan so we can fight the same war here on US soil.

Sympathy to the family of Sgt. Williams. It's never a good time to lose a loved one. Around the holidays, it's even worse. The war goes on, and people die, and we act like petty politicians when we post such drivel as above.

May God Bless SGT Williams family.

Frank I

godspeed Sgt Williams, and from a former member of the 1/10 FA my condolences to his family

Brave soldiers like SGT Williams is what I'm thankful for this holiday season.

Please just ignore Justus. He come's on here, post's his ridiculous comments, and lies in wait reading all of you remarking back. He however, doesn't respond. Just ignore!! God bless Sgt, Williams family and friends. What an awful, awful time to have to deal with such grief.

I support the troops. I want them home. Now. Stop the insanity! Iraq has nothing to do with national security. Never did, never will have. However, it has everything to do with the enriching of the coffers of private contractors. Most of the army's jobs have been privatized. It is a scandal, and goes beyond liberal or con. It was repubs however, who most wanted privatization, in order to support their religion of capitalism and free enterprise, regardless of cost. The loss of this soldier is an example of the incalculable cost. My heart bleeds, you'd better believe it. Corporate war mongering and war profiteering has got to stop. NOW!

If you cannot say(post) something nice, please be quiet(don't post). Ditto 0430...May God Bless SGT Williams family.
