Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a GNC store in Augusta Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. at the GNC on Bobby Jones Expressway when a man entered the store and told a worker to open the register, noting that he had a sick child, a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report states.

The man didn’t show a weapon but took an undetermined amount of cash, police say. He was described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall, between 45 and 55 years old, having a black and gray beard and wearing a black leather jacket with a hood, a burgundy sweater, black pants and black boots.

Anyone with information can call the sheriff's office at (706) 821-1080.

I hope the child gets help needed, if that is the case.

Not real clear on what "noting he had a sick child". I am guessing he said that? He won't be much help to his sick child if he gets caught.
