Wesley Snipes appeals 3 tax convictions in Georgia

ATLANTA – Actor Wesley Snipes is set to ask a federal appeals panel to overturn his three federal tax convictions.

The actor was sentenced last year to three years in prison on three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his income tax returns. A judge allowed him to remain free on bail as he appealed the convictions.

His attorneys plan to argue before the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals today that the trial judge erred in multiple ways before and after his conviction.

Prosecutors say Mr. Snipes, the star of the "Blade" trilogy, "White Men Can't Jump," "Jungle Fever" and other films, hasn't filed a tax return since 1998.

Why have we waited 11 years to put this criminal in jail? I disagree with a lot of things about income tax, but I still obey the laws. I don't remember, which one is Wesley Snipes? I missed the movies they listed.
