A North Augusta Public Safety officer charged with criminal domestic violence has been released from jail.
Brandon Cameron, 27, was released Wednesday from the Aiken County Detention Center, but his suspension with the department will continue until the Aiken County Sheriffs Offices investigation is complete, Public Safety Lt. Tim Pearson said this morning.
Officer Cameron was arrested Wednesday and is accused of pulling his girlfriend out of a vehicle and throwing her on the ground, according to a Sheriffs report. The victim had a contusion on the right side of her head after the incident, according to the report.
Officer Cameron and the victim were involved in an argument, and had crashed their vehicle near the Windsor Fire Department on Middleton Road, before the incident occurred. He has been with the department of public safety for three years, Lt. Pearson said
Maybe he will be a new member of my court directed class.
Crashed their vehicle huh? Did they leave the scene of an accident? What charges are going to be filed for the wreck? In North Augusta, it is at least a failure to maintain control so we should expect that as a minimum for this fine example of a peace officer. Alcohol involed? Drugs involved? Sobriety tests? Again, that is normal procedure in his department. I am sure it was administered to him. What were the results? This will not just go away. Equal treatment......................!!
His girlfriend sounds crazier than a bag of bat sheet.
?? Baron.. Do you know her or got an inside scoop? Regardless whether she is *crazy* or not, that does not warrent a man pulling her out of a car and throwing her down.
Perhaps the argument was due to the dang crash, but still, no matter what, he had no right to put his hands on her. Am so fed up with some of these cops thinking it's ok since they are the law. Hope if he is guilty of this, he gets more than a dang slap on the wrist. God help his new chick if this one has the sense to leave him. Do it once, they'll do it again.
You got that right. A real class act. NA better fire this thug.

Need to check out the gf--probably grabbed the wheel and caused the accident!
Maybe the contusion was caused in the accident and he pulled her by the hair while getting her out of the car from the wreck. i know I have had to use unorthodox methods to get hysterical people out of car wrecks or ones who are in a state of shock. Who was driving the vehicle would also be of interest to me.
Not enough info, as usual, from the AC to know the entire story.
She pulled out a gun and shot it after she wrecked the car then got back behind the wheel. Why wasn't she charged?
