Let him off himself. It will

Let him off himself. It will be one less who our tax dollars have to be wasted on in a futile attempt to rehabilitate him.

Just when I think people

Just when I think people can't sink any lower, wahla..
God help ya'll when one day, one of your family member's decide they want to die. Thank god by law, the cops have to care and try to bring this to a peaceful end w/o the man, themselves, or innocent bystanders being hurt.

I agree pommom. What makes

I agree pommom. What makes you guys think this guy is a criminal that should save us some tax dollars? If he is, then I'd agree with you, but this story doesn't mention that. This could be a good man who has come across some hard times or had a tragedy happen lately he's having trouble dealing with, diagnosed with a terminal illness and is scared, maybe he's just depressed and needs help. Evidently he was reaching out for some sort of help even though he is not in his right frame of mind or he wouldn't have called police. As for him barricading himself, maybe he thought better of it when he thought he may end up in a looney bin. When one is depresed severely they can not think straight, their mind jumps around between lucid thoughts and crazy ones. If this man ends up being a career violent criminal or something, I'm all for your comments, but if he turns out to be a dad who lost a child recently or something like that he's having trouble dealing with, won't you feel like jerks? Well those of you with a soul will.

I agree with you TakeAstand.

I agree with you TakeAstand. Until all the facts are given about this situation, we have no idea what is troubling this man. So many heartless people posting on here. If this was your dad or brother would you feel the same way? This man needs help and no where in this article did it even mention this man may be a criminal.

Some hard hearted people on

Some hard hearted people on here. Holidays can cause a lot of stress and turmoil for families. Let's hope that there is going to be a good outcome here and that a family won't be attending a funeral rather than a Thanksgiving meal together.

This is not the least bit

This is not the least bit funny. We just buried my fiance's son a month ago who took his own life at 22. Until you have to go through it, don't judge. You don't know other people's pain.

If that's the only thing you

If that's the only thing you think I was referring to, then I was right in my assessment. What was the reason for the name calling to pommom, just because she is compassionate? And you think it's funny when someone is so emotionally distressed they want to kill themself? I stand by my statement! =P

Too bad the woman who is

Too bad the woman who is accused of killing the baby couldn't have helped this man out. That was cold I know, but I'm outraged at what the world has come to. And...who did it? I do feel for people who have become this stressed and depressed that they'd want to take their own life, but I'm outraged at the other story in the AC where they suspect a sitter took a childs life. Believe me, I've seen many things in my life, but much more in the past few years. I have stress everyday with work, family and finances, but for some reason God gets me through it. For all the lost souls and sadness we should pray and be thankful that our lives are not that bad today.

Why would someone who intends

Why would someone who intends to kill himself call and tell people about it? My goodness if he wants to die then by all means allow him his request and leave the area.

It is often hard for these

It is often hard for these people to get help diss. Some may think it is as simple as walk in, tell someone you want to die, and wahla.. Magic wand makes people help you. Not in this world anymore. I am grateful this man called for whatever reason. He could have walked outside, took a few innocent people's live's, then did hisself in. He chose not to.
Whatever has caused this man to feel the way he does, I truly hope it comes to a quick end and he does recieve some help/compassion.
I am truly sorry for you and your fiance's loss superg.

If someone wants to die, it

If someone wants to die, it should be their right to die. As long as this man isn't harming anyone else, let him do what he wants. It is his life, and if he wants to end it, that should be his choice.

POMMOM38= The cops have to

POMMOM38= The cops have to care by law?????? Show me in the Constitution, South Carolina law or Aiken County policy that says Law Enforcement MUST intervine in such situation. Law enforcement gets called because people don't know who else to call and think COPS are a "cure all" for every situation. Cops are only interested in preventing possible harm to others NOT the subject. Committing suicide IT'S NOT against any law that I know of........
