According to Columbia County officials, the road closure will prevent any through-traffic from using Old Evans Road between Columbia Industrial Boulevard and Washington Road.
The road closure will begin at 7 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to remain closed until late Sunday afternoon.
The temporary road closure is to allow for CSX Railroad to perform maintenance along the railway at or in the vicinity of the railroad crossing.
Thru traffic will need to follow a detour route.
