Merchandise taken in break-in

A man broke into the Ja Ho Market at 1770 Kissingbower Road early this morning and stole items worth about $350.

The burglar threw a rock through the front window and entered the store, according to a Richmond County sheriff’s report. A witness told officers that he saw the burglar flee east on White Road in a white midsize vehicle. The burglar stole five cartons of cigarettes worth about $190, 12 white baseball caps worth about $72 and 10 long-sleeve shirts worth about $90.

The burglar was described as black, 35 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 185 pounds.
