Gardners Landing, a proposed development along the Savannah River, will be discussed on second reading at the North Augusta City Council meeting Monday night.
The development plan calls for 48 to 65 single-family units and 246 multifamily units on 29.46 acres.
At the first reading on Nov. 2, residents of RiverNorth, the community off U.S. Highway 1 that will neighbor Gardners Landing, opposed the developments proposed use of their entrance as the main access to the neighborhood. They also said the road cannot handle the traffic Gardners Landing would add.
In other business, the 2010 budget is scheduled to be approved on final reading.
The council meets at 7 p.m. in the municipal building on Georgia Avenue.
