Gov. Sonny Perdue said stimulus money will fund a $592,900 road project in Richmond County.
Crews will resurface Keysville Road from State Route 88 to the Burke County line, according to a news release Monday from the governor's office.
The resurfacing is part of $65.8 million in projects that the governor announced across the state. All are funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
It is Richmond Countys second stimulus-funded road project. Construction began on the $4 million resurfacing and shoulder reconstruction on about 10 miles of Deans Bridge Road between Sandy Run Creek and Tobacco Road this month.
Across the nation, about $48 billion has been set aside for transportation infrastructure through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. To track stimulus spending in Georgia, visit www.dot.ga.gov/gastimulus.
Great - Smooth out the car chase getaway route.....
Surprized, anyone knew where "Keysville" was. The only other time I remember seeing it mentioned was to look for buried bodies.
Chip, the drivers in Columbia County need to have some stimulus money to teach them how to drive. If they are not doing 100 mph, they are doing 10 mph (and in the passing lane). For my money, send all of the drivers of Richmond and Columbia County to drivers education!!!
According to IRISHDRUNK, WP and Lola Jeans we should send all the Stimulus money back.
