ATHENS, Ga. - Freshman running back Washaun Ealey scored on touchdown runs of 7 and 44 yards to help lead Georgia to a 38-0 victory over Tennessee Tech in today's homecoming game.

Ealey rushed seven times for 90 yards, including the first two touchdowns of his career.

The Bulldogs' much-maligned defense posted the team's first shutout since 2006.

Quarterback Joe Cox completed his first 10 pass attempts and finished 10-for-13 for 140 yards with two touchdowns against no interceptions.

If they cant beat the living stew out of tenn tech, then they need to hang it up for the season.

Just My Opinion

I'll tell Richt what the reason is that the fumbled/tipped balls haven't fallen towards the Georgia players....it's called MOJO. Mojo can be good or it can be bad. Either way, it either works for or against you..you either have it or you don't! If you look at all the teams who have won a national championship, besides being a good team, they also had to have the good mojo working in their favor. Take Florida for example...a couple of years ago, they beat a team (South Carolina?) by barely blocking what would've been a winning field goal! Georgia...when they last won their national championship a hundred years ago, it was on that great Lindsey Scott play, but if you watch the replay, Buck Belue was almost sacked had it not been for a last second push from one of his linemen. Okay..that's enough of a history lesson! Yes..Georgia needs to beat the stew out of TT today, but we probably won't! Richt is just using this game to improve on fundamentals..passing, running, blocking, tackling, etc.. But isn't scoring pretty fundamental too???

Top notch staff. Top notch university. Tough year. It happens when dealing with kids from time to time. Go Dawgs!

travisp73, you must be a Disney Dawg. This staff had a down year in 2006 (any year that includes losses to Vanderbilt and Kentucky is a down year). Richt better make changes or he should be fired.

Travis, you are right and you know what you're talking about, don't you? One more thing.....how the heck did my post at 9:13 AM get put under this story??? It was for a different story about Coach Richt commenting about the turnover margin that UGA was losing out on. Oh, well. I was at the game today. Beautiful weather...fun game...team got to work on some fundamentals. Good day!
