Warrenville man found dead

The body of a 54-year-old white male was discovered near Warrenville, S.C., this morning.

According to a news release from Aiken Coroner Tim Carlton, a passerby near the intersection of Howlandville Road and Hwy 421 made the discovery about 7 a.m.

The body has been identified as Phillip Pennington, of Warrenville, Mr. Carlton said.

At this time there are no suspicious circumstances. Mr. Pennington was seen on video at the IGA grocery store in Warrenville at approximately 7 p.m. last night, the coroner said. An autopsy is scheduled later today.
