AIKEN — The Aiken Lady Hornets saw their hopes of a state championship dashed Tuesday night at the hands of a region rival they dominated twice in the regular season.

White Knoll, which Aiken had beaten by a score of 3-1 in two prior meetings, ended the Lady Hornets season 22-25, 25-23, 14-25, 25-18, 15-8 in the South Carolina Class AAAA state quarterfinals.
