Free children's soccer event to be held Saturday
From Staff Reports
Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 3:52 p.m.

The Peach Belt Conference is holding its second annual Breakfast with the Champions Community Day on Saturday morning at Blanchard Woods Park. This free soccer event, which begins at 9:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast and runs until noon, is for children ages 6-12, male or female.

In conjunction with the conference’s men’s and women’s championships, which will be held Sunday, this event will give youth participants an opportunity to connect with collegiate soccer student-athletes through a mini-clinic and fun soccer activities.

Participants are encouraged to bring a ball, shin guards and cleats.

Parents are requested to sign up their children by Thursday to reserve a spot and t-shirt. For more information, call John Semeraro at the PBC Office at (706) 364-9715.
