Thank god he's white or this would have been deemed police brutality.
Richmond County sheriff's deputies arrested an Augusta man Monday night after they said he smashed windows and ransacked his room at a motel.
Michael Wayne Bader, 58, was charged with second degree criminal damage to property and obstruction of an officer, according to Richmond County jail records.
A sheriffs report said the deputies followed a blood trail from a broken hallway window to Mr. Baders room.
Inside, they found Mr. Bader with blood on his hands and shirt. He had broken the microwave, lamp, dresser and air conditioner in the room, the report said. The suspect fought with deputies who tried to restrain him.
The damage to the room and window was estimated at about $650.
Thank god he's white or this would have been deemed police brutality.
There certainly isn't much attention given when you have your house broken into. Police act as if you've bothered them to have to come and investigate.
Augustian, really?
Police brutality happens to others besides minorities, it's just not newsworthy unless it is a minority.
jtr, maybe you should move into a motel. This genius certainly got his fair share of the police' attention.
It seems no one knows how to spell these days. This is the second posting this morning where God has been spelled in all lower case letters. If one is referring to the eternal God, then the first letter should be capitalized as in other names. Dictionaries are wonderful things to keep at one's side when posting for all the world to read. But, as my grandfather once told me," it is better to remain quiet on a subject one has limited knowledge of, than to open your mouth and make a fool of yourself." I would suppose the same goes for writing.
And the name and location of the motel is... Journalism 101, fellas, does the AC have editors any more?
I'm with you Dixieman. I would thought if it was worth a story then it should have been worth disclosing the location. With all the spelling errors and lack of good reporting, I think the editors have just given up on this sinking ship. How about spell check, do you think their computers have it disabled?
Crack Quack!
Meth is a helluva drug...
You idiots will make any and every thing about race.
In Augusta,any- and everything is about race.
From the AC archives- "Beatrice Grady Stepp, also known as Michael Wayne Bader, also known as Michael Wayne Baber, also known as Michael W. Bader, also known as Michael Bader, also known as Micheal Wayne Bader, also known as Rufus McCove, 55, convicted June 14, 2002, in Richmond County of interference with government property; sentenced to two years in prison, followed by three years' probation; probation began March 9, 2004; probation revoked Oct. 20, 2004; paroled to Richmond County effective Jan. 31"
About time to turn him over to the good old Georgia Department of Corrections again.
Thats a lot of damage for only $650 bucks. I bet this was a high class establishment.
Sadly,@whipping post..I agree with you. Starts with the first post and trickles downward. Just can't be about the stupid choices people make. Maybe one day we can read an article that won't mention race or the President..Dont hold your breath!!
