don't hold your breath on the service. Not something people in this area have a clue about.

Never heard of the place, but it's always good to see new business coming to the area. Don't set the worker's up for failure before they've had a chance thoga, not ALL are bad servers.

Another example of the Federal Stimulus in action. President Obama is to be congratulated for his countenance.

akmoose

Went to the one in Warner Robins and was AMAZED...the food is yummy and there's plenty of it...so let's hope Augusta lives up to the expectations!!

sueboo418

thoga I have not usually had a problem with service in the nicer restauants. Maybe the problem is the customer. I can't wait to try it!

smec29

The service in this area is no worse or better than others....Actually it is better here than Hilton Head.

humbleopinion

I went there for lunch and it was great! The service had a couple of glitches, but after all, it was within the first hour of being open. The food was great, as it is in their other locations, and the price is remarkable! Don't worry Cheddar's, I'll be back!

workingmom

Can't wait to try it. The online menu looks wonderful!

RealMan

I ate at the Cheddar's in Dallas, Texas. The food was great! They give you a lot of food for the price.

Would be nice if the author put the hours of operation!

JohnQPublic

Yeah, usually wait staff know two speeds, slow and slower. I hope the folks at CHeddars know how to move and hustle.

One who cares

I hope everyone that is critizing the wait staff have to eat those words, the people need a chance to show the CSRA area how good they are.

I have not had a chance to eat at Cheddar's but I am very excited about having a new place to try out. The one in Savannah is very nice.
Thanks for coming to the Augusta area!!!!! Give credit where credit is due.

I ate there tonight and it was GREAT!!!!! The service was good and so was the food and I couldn't believe the low prices! I'll be back.

i must not have any idea about how many people it takes to run a restaurant because to me 150 employees sounds a bit high to me... typo, maybe? Could it be 50? I honestly am curious.

not a sheep

Someone should start a bet on how long it will be before this place is robbed.

omnomnom

eh, its about on the same level as Applebee's from 10 years ago food-wise. What lumpenmoron is giving BARKo credit for this restaurant? It's been in the works for well over a year. Do we really need another restaurant? How about something Augusta actually needs? How about a grocery store downtown? You know, a real one. Like Gurley's. Or Reid's. (i hear they can save you money)

john

why dont you open one omnomnom? find a need and fill it. free enterprise! while it lasts.... Been to the one in Columbus. Very good. looking forward to trying it. Give them a chance. Gotta work the bugs out for a little bit. Service will be a problem if they hire managers that dont want to manage. Good luck!

noway

I think the service here in Augusta is better than anywhere, unless of course you go to Pizza Joint where the service is never good.

xanadu

more fattening fodder for the local cows

Javital

xanadu sounds unhappy if you don't like the food don't go... Life seems unhappy for you why so negative?

jojo55

xanadu is maybe unhappy because he or she hasn't eaten food for awhile, trying to stay skinny or something, lol

Just what that neighborhood needs! Yet another chain restaurant! What has happened to Augusta's palate? There are locally owned and operated eateries of a much higher quality in Augusta. Corporate consumer culture is ruining Augusta's uniqueness. Augusta is starting to look EXACTLY like every other city in America.

andywarhol

I rarely eat at chain restaurants. I cannot stand waiting for 45 min-1hour just to be seated just to get substandard service. The independant restaurants have to depend on their service and quality of food to keep them afloat, and I rarely have to wait. Waterburger is right, it is exactly like any other city when it comes this aspect. I'm thankful that I've left the U.S. a few times to see what real customer service is like whether I'm at a fine Italian restaurant or McDonald's you should be treated the same.

Galan Lewis

Do they sell beer?

Boogaloo

BamGal, Full bar doesn't mean they are selling rebar.

terry67

Since most of the wait staff are teenage brats with no respect for their elders...what do you expect? Then when your customer base is twenty-something brats with no respect for anyone...what do you expect??? One of the lost parts of our society is learning from other generations.....where did that go?

grapenut

By noway: "I think the service here in Augusta is better than anywhere"....really?? Have you been anywhere else??

SayNoMore

andywarhol - You got no class at all. You'd hang out at a smoky greasy burger joint drinking suds out of a water goblet and be happy.....

The real travesty is that this is considered news.
