A masked man robbed the Dollar General on Knox Avenue on Sunday night.
The manager of the store said the robber approached him and another employee as they were leaving the store with the night deposit about 9:30 p.m., according to a North Augusta Public Safety report.
The robber pointed a gun at them and ordered them to lie on the floor. He stole about $1,050.
He is described as being black, about 5-foot-8, with a slim build, the report said.
I thought you had to rob the Dollar General store 1,050 times to get $1,050...
Always a jokester around. Not funny.
You're confused Dixieman - it's the Dollar TREE that you must rob that many times to get that much money...
the description is common, how many fit that description. Did he have a tat, blue eyes, bad breath. I'm sure they will find him from that description. really hope they got a finger print...
why is dollar general being targeted. What is this like every dollar general in the area that has been robbed this year. It just seems odd that so many of one company is being robbed.
He did NOT rob the store. He is a volunteer with ACORN and was just soliciting campaign donations for Obama.
DG maybe needs to rethink floor plan and move registers to side and away from the door. that seems like a quick grab and go.
I thought he was a Defense Contractor under Bush?
