Three deaths during the weekend are being investigated in South Carolina.
They include a possible electrocution in Westminster, an infant who died after a fire in Williamston and a man found lying in a road in West Columbia.
Oconee County Coroner Karl E. Addis said the body of 34-year-old Frankie Sheriff, of Seneca, was found late Saturday night behind an old textile building near Westminster. An autopsy is scheduled for the 34-year-old man, who apparently died from electric-related injuries.
Mr. Addis said the autopsy will be performed today at the AnMed Medical Center to help determine the cause of death, which is being treated as an accident.
Authorities say two utility workers from Blue Ridge Electric checking on a power outage found Mr. Sheriff's body. The coroner said a flashlight and a crowbar were lying near the body, and it appears electrical wires were being cut from the poles.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death.
In Williamston, a 10-month-old boy suffering breathing problems has died after a grease fire in his home.
Anderson County Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman an autopsy was scheduled Monday for Jacob Whitfield.
Jacob died at a hospital Sunday afternoon after paramedics couldn't revive him. Mr. Boseman says the boy's 2-year-old brother was also being treated at a hospital.
The mother told authorities Jacob had been having trouble breathing after a grease fire at their home Saturday night.
Anderson County Fire Chief Billy Gibson says the grease fire hadn't been reported to authorities.
In West Columbia, authorities are investigating the death of a 20-year old man whose body was discovered over the weekend.
Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman says an autopsy is scheduled Monday for James Wilbur Lybrand III, of Gilbert.
Sheriff James Metts says authorities found Mr. Lybrand's body Sunday morning near West Columbia after a woman alerted authorities to a person lying in the road.
The cause is still under investigation, but Sheriff Metts says deputies suspect foul play.
