BATH – Aiken County Sheriff Office has named two suspects wanted for running a meth lab in a mobile home.

David Blanken Sr., 45, and Mary Catherine Washington-Blanken, 39, both of Bay Street, are wanted on charges of trafficking methamphetamine and manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine in the first degree, Aiken County sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Myers said in a news release.

Wednesday night, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a suspicious person and vehicle at 25 Bay Street. A meth lab was discovered at the same address. Narcotics investigators obtained a search warrant, and discovered glass beakers, hot plates and other materials used for illegally manufacturing methamphetamines in the home.

The items were disposed of by the state Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Deputies had previously been alerted to drug activity in the area by concerned citizens, Sgt. Myers said.

Anyone with information about these suspects, can contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 922-9709 or call Crime Stoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME-SC. Callers will remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
