AIKEN – A Warrenville man is in jail today accused of inappropriately touching three girls.

Special
Jesse Adams

Aiken County Sheriff’s Office charged Jesse Adams, 19, of the 100 block of Fannie Lane, with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of lewd act on a child under the age of 16 and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, according to Aiken County Detention Center records.

Earlier this year, investigators believe Mr. Adams provided alcohol to four girls between the ages of 12 and 16, and also inappropriately touched three of those girls, Sgt. Myers said.

He was booked shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday, and remains in jail on a $35,000 bond, a jail official said.

Hepkikyo

Teens having sex with teens... arrest them both!

scgagirl

I agree with you wholeheartly, Hepkikyo!!

sdfsdf

Can't they just report what the age was? 15 and a half? I'm not sure what to say about teens having sex with teens. I suppose the "assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature" must have put it over the top.

Newsreader

The assult and battery was probably after her mother found out! The mother wacked him good, and he hit back. LOL

More information needed. I also agree with Hepkikyo. If both agreed to have sex then arrest them both when its reported by her parents. Because it must have not been rape or the would have charged him with rape.

Also teenagers are going to be teenagers. I have to teenage girls (Jesus help me) but I will be the first to tell anyone my girls are not perfect because they are human. all you can do is raise them the best way you know how and PRAY they listen.

If it was consensual and the girls were over 14, it ought to be the parents' problem to deal with, not the law. This is getting beyond ridiculous. If we're going to have an "anything goes" society as far as sexual preferences, pornography, promiscuity and every kind of sex outside marraige, I don't see how we can fault a teenage boy for deciding to take part in the fun. And everybody knows a kid that age rarely thinks about anything, especially girls, with the head on his shoulders.

Where is APIECEOSHHEX(APEX) and his crew with ( insert usual suspect description) at?

Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature is a "catch all" charge used in SC. The purpose is to intimidate a person into pleading guilty to a lesser charge. They will make him attend roll call once a month until he gives in, and pleads to something, so they can claim another victory for the prosecution.

I don't know about the rest of you on here, but if somebody would've given me alcohol between the ages of 12 and 16, and then touched me inappropriately, my father and brother would've gone after them, and then my father would've had whoever did it arrested. Just because some teenagers have sex, and some teenagers drink, doesn't mean they all do, and that the parents think it's ok. Who thinks that drinking at age 12 is OK? And who thinks it's ok for a 19 year old to supply a 12 year old with alcohol, or a 14 year old, or even a 16 year old? It sounds to me like the parents ARE dealing with it, and that Jesse is a dumbakk who doesn't know the meaning of "jail bait".

Boogaloo

Fannie Lane? No wonder.

Contirbuting to the delinquency of a minor??? I thought I read he was only 19...... My question is who bought it for him??? That person should be charged too.

corgimom

JasonPilgrim, HE is an adult, he is over 18. The GIRLS were minors, because they were under 18. Do you not know that? I don't know how old you are, but I'll tell you what I told my son. If he wants to do something wrong, DO NOT even look at a girl under 18. Not in SC.

jasonpilgrim

I'm saying he's NOT 21!!! He's not old enough to buy alcohol. Someone bought it for him or sold it to him knowing he was underage. And the age difference between all these kids only a couple years he should not be arrested for this. Sounds like the girls mothers should do a better job knowing where thier daughters are. Please parents don't use the legal system to make up for your lack of parenting skills!!!!

ispy4u

I guess you can say the same for parents who children are kidnapped, raped and later murdered but you wont. He should face charges.

Where is APiecEofshX24 on this article? Oh, I know why it's not here.

Perhaps Jesse Adams' parents should have taught HIM better.

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. --- Dewey Street is a quiet community filled with families, neighbors and friends. But now, it's the center of a sexual assault accusation and a 19-year old is the accused.
"I've lived here my whole life and it's always been pretty pleasant and calm," said Tina Perry who lives in the neighborhood. She says the news of this happening in her neighborhood -- is unnerving. "I don't think anybody can see it coming. I don't think anybody knows how to deal with something like that," said Perry.
Aiken County investigators say 19-year old Jesse Adams is accused of inappropriate acts on a child on two separate occasions. Three of his four alleged victims were under the age of 16.
"I'm glad it wasn't my daughter and I don't know I could've been so casual about it happening to my children. I'd probably take the law into my own hands with that because that angers a parent," said Perry.
Dating back to January 2008, investigators say a 12-year old told them Adams reached inside her shirt and bra and fondled her breasts. The victim told investigators she didn't come forward earlier because she was embarrassed about what had happened to her. (continued)

In July 2009, two teenage girls accused Adams of giving them alcohol and then getting into bed with them and feeling their private parts. Both alleged incidents happened at a home on Dewey Street.
And now as Adams waits for his turn in court, Tina says no matter the outcome, it's still shocking for their quiet neighborhood. Adams is charged with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of a lewd act on a child and one count of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

ACDC is not a good place to be, especially for a white boy. $35,000 bond. Wow.
