COLUMBIA A former South Carolina legislator has been fired from the state prosecutor's office after authorities say he was discovered in a cemetery with a stripper.
Police reports released Wednesday state that 66-year-old Roland Corning was stopped Monday after his car was spotted in an area police say is known for sex.
Police say an 18-year-old woman who works at a strip club was with Mr. Corning. Police also found Viagra and sex toys that Mr. Corning said were there "just in case."
Mr. Corning identified himself as a prosecutor and was not arrested. A spokesman for Attorney General Henry McMaster said today that Mr. Corning no longer worked there.
Mr. Corning was a state legislator in the 1990s. He has worked in the top prosecutor's office since 2000
There was no answer at a number listed for Mr. Corning.
