Columbia County authorities are looking for a man they say stole a computer from a Martinez store a week ago.

The owner of Computer Exchange, 3835 Washington Road, told police that between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m., the man came into the store, concealed a $400 notebook computer in the front of his pants and left without paying for it, according to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The suspect left the parking lot in a dark-colored mini-van.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity or whereabouts should call the sheriff’s office at (7060 541-2800.

Reach Valerie Rowell at (706) 868-1222, ext. 110 or
