Scary stuff
From Staff Reports
Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 1:19 p.m.

Jared Wimburn, 15, of Appling reads his scary story contest entry, "Ray's Unusual Day".

We asked for your best scary stories, and you delivered. Among the 28 entries in our scary story contest were stories and poems that could give chills to H.P. Lovecraft or Stephen King. Just in time for Halloween, we've selected the winning entries. Check out Sunday's Your Life section to read the winners, and sample some of the works from other entries.

To get you going, click here for video readings from all three winners.
