Man hurt when suspected stolen car crashes in Aiken County

Aiken County officers are investigating a car crash early this morning of a vehicle that they believe was stolen.

According to Aiken County sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Myers, the accident occurred at about 5:50 a.m. near the intersection of Gray Mare Hollow Road and Chime Bell Church Road in Aiken.

The man driving the car was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. His condition was not made public. The circumstances surrounding the theft are still under investigation, Sgt. Myers said.
