A 41-year-old man was put in a choke hold and robbed Saturday night at his trailer on the 2900 block of Gordon Highway.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report, the man told officers that at about 9:40 p.m. a man he knows only as Lorane came to his door asking to speak with a woman who used to live at the residence, saying that the woman owed him money.

When the victim told the man that the woman did not live there anymore, the man pushed the victim to the ground, put him in a choke hold, and took the man’s wallet out of his pocket.

The robber stole about $167 in cash and then fled the area in a white car.

The robber was described as a black male between the ages of 30 and 40, about six feet tall, weighing about 210 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
