An Augusta woman was arrested this morning for creating a disturbance at Butler High School and then causing an altercation with a sheriff’s deputy.

India Patrice Mims-Morris, 27, of the 2200 block of Glen Arbor Court, was charged with one count of felony obstruction of law enforcement and one misdemeanor count of disruption of public school, according to Richmond County jail and police reports.

Just before 10 a.m., Ms. Mims-Morris became disruptive at Butler, located at 2011 Lumpkin Road, and was asked to leave by a police officer, an incident report states. When she refused, another officer was called and she was told she would be placed under arrest.

The report states Ms. Mims-Morris got out of the vehicle she was in and moved toward one of the officers aggressively while cursing, resulting in a brief struggle that caused a laceration and bruising to one of the officers.

The incident took place in front of staff and students at Butler, according to the report.

What business does a 27 year old have at a high school? She's not old enough to have a child there. Maybe an underage boyfriend?

TososMelakias

I dunno, maybe her little brother missed the bus because it came early and she had to drop him off and be late for work and he was too late to get free breakfast.......just a guess......

jwtgone

What a joke my old alma mater is! They need to change the name of the school. I am ashamed to tell people I graduated from Butler.

APiratesLife4Me

She was looking for baby's daddy.

Craig Spinks

(J)wtgone, what are you doing to make GPBHS a better place for our kids to learn?

ispy4u

Only in Augusta? Yeah, we know nothing like this could happen any where else in the country. APIRATESLIFE and TAKASTAND, only idiots would think of those things. USADEFENDER asked a legitimate question then you two ignoramuses had to chime in with your B.S.

CobaltGeorge

TakeAstand, What do you mean, too young to have a child in school? If she started to pop babys at 15, she could have had 5 in school.

ispy4u

Then there were three idiots. LOL

corgimom

I know a 28 year old single mother with 6 kids. She started having them at 14.

concernednative

Cobalt, let me say this slowly she wouldn't have a kid in high school was the point. Unless by the vary rare case she becamse pregnant at 12 and had a kid at the age of 13.

CobaltGeorge

cn, I stand corrected, she would not have a kid in high school. The question still stands, why was she there?

RushLimbuttbubba

maybe she was a student...ha ha ha

Brad Owens

She must have been REALLY mad to have attacked a LEO.

corgimom

I was 12 when I started high school. Skipped two grades.

TakeAstand

ispy is a sad human being. What is your guess on ehr being there? If it was professional legitimate business, she wouldn't have acted like that!
