Heavy rains today dumped from 2.2 inches to as much as 4.25 inches across Columbia County, according to rain gauges at county facilities, but no major flooding issues were reported.
The heaviest rainfall reported as of 4 p.m. today had occurred at the Crawford Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant off Columbia Road, which recorded 4.25 inches, followed by 3 inches each at the Kiokee Creek and Little River Wastewater Treatment Plants, 2.95 inches at the Clarks Hill Water Plant near Pollards Corner, 2.75 inches at the Reed Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant off Stevens Creek Road, 2.32 inches at the Government Complex in Evans and 2.2 inches at the Point Comfort Water Plant in Evans.
Despite the sustained rainfall, no flooding was reported, said Emergency Services Director Pam Tucker.
There was a small issue of about a foot of water at the entrance of the new Food Lion complex at Furys Ferry Road and Evans to Locks Road, she said. County engineers met with the developers and have already agreed on a solution that will be implemented this week to prevent any recurrence. Other than that we had a little ponding here and ther but no real problems, she said.

Yall needed a bath...jk :)
This wasn't even worth reporting. A lot of counties got significant rain, no one was flooded out. So why is it news??
