Thieves stole several firearms from the home and car of a Richmond County assistant district attorney sometime between Saturday and Sunday.
Phillip William Catalano, Jr. told police that the thieves broke the passenger side window of his Jeep Cherokee and also entered his west Augusta home off West Wheeler Parkway, according to Richmond County Sheriff’s investigators.
They stole $1,150 worth of guns, including an SKS Rifle and a Remington shotgun, from the scene, the report said. They also took a computer, some clothing, a bag and a gold ring with an opal floral design.
Deputies recovered an air rifle and a bag stolen from the home in some bushes nearby, the report said.

Too bad it wasn't a judge's house instead of an assistant DA. Then we might actually get some of the thieving, thugging, little heathens LOCKED up instead of put on probation so that the judges can get their kickback from the probation contractor.
Baroness, what is there to clarify, surely you do think Big O was talking about DAs or Sheriff's Deputies. Therefore, the only other group mentioned was criminals. Furthermore, it would be logical to conclude that the thieving gene has gone dominant in the criminals and their gene pool, and takes precedence when breeding. Truth is most criminals only breed with other criminals, thus, the thug gene is becoming very prominent.

Have you moved back to SC yet, or do you think you'll be staying in what you routinely call Disgusta, GA. I'm still in Augusta, but I'd like to see it improve. It won't as long as people go around with these prejudiced thoughts precipitating jumping to conclusions about demographics every time there is a criminal incident. Some of these posters need to keep an open-mind.

I am just glad the thieves are maybe moving their operations city wide. After all we are a consolidated city with many large areas. I often wondered why thieves didn't recognize what Austin says all the time "the money is in west augusta".
Its a shame he wasn't there to use those weapons against the scum of Augusta. Hopefully the stolen weapons will be recovered.

My nieghbor recently had his motorcycle stolen and the cops acted like they could care less. We live in a nice ... well used to be a nice nieghborhood. I hope it was the same punks, bet they will care now.
