A bullet struck a Richmond County school bus headed back to Augusta from Gwinnett County on Saturday, shattering glass and injuring one pupil.
According to a news release from Louis Svehla, the spokesman for Richmond County schools, the bus was en route and carrying members of an all-county chorus team from Cross Creek High and Murphey Middle schools.
Parents of the pupils, including the injured one, were notified of the incident.
The school system’s public safety department is working with authorities and will be available for comment Monday, according to the release.

I would definitely like to know if this happened in Gwinnett or Richmond or somewhere in-between.
You know, it does look like the AC could get at LEAST a FEW facts before they post these teaser headlines. Where did it happen, Was the bullet fired from outside or inside the bus? Was the pupil injured by the bullet or by glass? Geez, is there anyone at the AC who is employed as a REPORTER? I mean, the bus was full of teens and an adult or two so it ain't like there is no one to talk to and get a few facts. This happened yesterday so it isn't exaclty "breaking news" and any real news organization with a real reporter would have tried to gather the basic facts by now.
my child attends Crosscreek and I recieved a recorded phone call telling parents/guardians that the student injured in this incident was done so by glass. The bullet was fired from outside of the vehicle. Also the augusta chroncile did post these same facts YESTERDAY. seems to me that some of you life to complain. relax and try to be positive in a not so positive world.

I agree, AC shouldn't have even reported the incident without more facts. Should everyone be worried about thier kids riding the bus, or could this have been a stray bullet from a hunter?

Where did the shooting occur? Gwinnett County would not be "a reach" as it is a center of Hispanic gang activity.
Crimes like this only prove that we are not safe at all times.
