An Augusta man said he was robbed at gunpoint late Friday, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office report.

The man told police he was giving two men, whom he said he knew vaguely, a ride about 11 p.m. Friday when one man pulled out a firearm and demanded money, an incident report stated.

The robbers took $300 cash and some items from the man's wallet and then fled on the foot, according to the report.

I'm always amazed at the people who are robbed that have so much cash on them.......I make a pretty decent living and I NEVER have that much cash in my wallet.......Mortgage, bills, cars, kids, pets and such sure take a bite. Of course this may have been a drug deal gone bad.........

I agree with you both...$300

I agree with you both...$300 is not much money, but why would you carry around that much cash any way?? I am always broke, so no one would get any money from me, except for the change that I have in the bottom of my purse! ha ha ha
