Entertainment options this weekend range from the Greek Festival and the Hispanic Festival in Augusta to walking a cornfield maze in Louisville, Ga.
The 20th annual Augusta Greek Festival runs through 10 tonight and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 953 Telfair St. It features music and dancing, Greek food, a Greek market, church tours and a children's play area. The Hispanic Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Augusta Common. It features bands, food, arts and crafts. Admission is $2, but there's no charge for ages 10 and younger and active-duty military. See elcervantino.org.
The Columbus Day Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Columbia County Amphitheater and Memorial Gardens behind Columbia County Library, 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd. in Evans. It will feature arts and crafts, children's activities, entertainment, food by the Italian-American Club. Admission is free. See columbiacountyga.gov.
You'll need to take a trip to Louisville, Ga., to check out the 7-acre cornfield maze at Kackleberry Farm, 1025 Verdree Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 1-6 p.m. Sundays, through Nov. 8. Bring a flashlight at night. Admission is $11 for ages 3-64, $8 seniors, $9 military, law enforcement, medical personnel, and $9 each if you're with a group of 15 or more. Call (478) 625-7552.
