A man wearing a red golf shirt with white stripes entered the store and demanded money from a teller, according to North Augusta Public Safety Detective Tim Thornton. He fled on foot behind the bank where investigators believe a driver in an older model Buick or Oldsmobile was waiting, Detective Thornton said.
A red dye pack embedded in the stolen money exploded as the suspect fled the scene. Investigators described the suspect as a black man in his forties. He stands somewhere between five-feet six inches and six-feet tall. No one was hurt in the robbery and the robber did not show a weapon.
