Thieves make away with nearly $13,000 in auto parts

Thieves stole nearly $13,000 worth of car parts from Fenders Auto Salvage on Martin Luther King Boulevard sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The burglars took 50 each of alternators, air-conditioning compressors and starters for the cars, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s report. They also took 80 radiators, the report said. They entered the business by prying the aluminum wall off of the business’s warehouse.
