COLUMBUS, Ga. - A pregnant woman who was found dead in a retention pond was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.

Coroner Bill Thrower announced the results of the autopsy on 26-year-old Jilani Platt, who was reported missing Saturday and was found dead Monday afternoon.

The results were reported Wednesday by the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

Platt's husband, 31-year-old Zyderrious Platt, is charged with murder in connection with the death.

Reports show that Zyderrious Platt had been arguing with his wife late Friday. She returned home around midnight and was reported missing when she failed to pick up her nephew at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Zyderrious Platt's Columbus Recorder's Court hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m. Friday.
