Four children are fighting to recover in an Augusta burn center after being injured in a fire at their Cordele, Ga., apartment.

The children were burned in a Sunday fire and ranged in age from 18-months to five years. They were supposed to be taking a nap, but investigators believe one of them began playing with a lighter and accidentally started the blaze

They were taken to the Jopseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Cordele police believe all the children will recover and said doctors expect to take the three youngest children off ventilators this week.

where was the parent when all this was going on..

If you believe that a parent or parents never have their children out of their sight for a few minutes, you must never have been a parent. Children do things quickly without regard to consequences because they don't KNOW the consequences. Don't be so quick to accuse a parent of not giving their children good attention.

AMEN....My prayers to the parents and children. We can't be there every second and I allowed mine to nap w/o me sitting there and watching. They lived to be adults w/o much more damage than cutting each others hair with childrens scissors....for that I am Blessed. I pray for a speedy recovery and lots of support for all of them.

My mom was home every single day and I managed to get into all kinds of trouble. Kids do stupid things and they do them pretty quickly. I hope for a speedy recovery for these kids, and a happy outcome for the entire family.

Doctors Hospital The best hospital for the children! They are in good hands! My prayers are also with them and theirs.
