ATLANTA — Fire authorities say a blaze that destroyed part of an Atlanta private school was set intentionally.

Atlanta fire department spokesman Capt. Bill May says the Friday night fire at the Paideia School started about 7:30 p.m. when someone set ablaze bales of hay in a fall festival display outside the school. The fire destroyed most of the school's "Mother Goose" building, which housed four high school classrooms.

Investigators are unsure who set the fire. No one was injured in the fire.

Headmaster Paul Bianchi said the damaged building dates back to the 1920s. It was bought by the school in 1982.
