Two teens charged in robbery

  • Follow Latest News

Two teenagers have been arrested in the armed robbery of an East Augusta Middle School student Monday.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report and jail records, Demontrez Quashon Faulks, 15, and Shai-John Octavious Mills, 14, are charged with felony armed robbery.

The report says that the 13-year-old student was walking with some friends to River Glen Apartments at 201 E. Telfair St. at about 4 p.m. At the apartments the group was confronted by the two teenagers.

Mr. Mills pulled out a handgun, pointed at the student, and took his cell phone. Both of the teenagers told the student that they would kill him if anyone in the group told the police.

This is a shame ... I hope

This is a shame ... I hope they are tried as adults! If they can commit adult crimes they should do adult times ... in adult facilities.

They'll be out just in time

They'll be out just in time to go to work for ACORN and falsify voter registrations in 2012. They have all the qualifications for the Obama administration.....If' they'll just NOT pay taxes for awhile that is.

I agree RAWR, and

I agree RAWR, and periodically take them to their school to walk around escorted with signs saying, I steal because I have no respect for myself or anyone else. I am a criminal sitting in jail. Don't you want to be like me? Humilitation works better than our jail system. They get street credit for being criminals and in jail, not to mention its no form of punishment these days, losing their freedom for a short while is nothing to a criminal. We need to make them work and suffer in jail, not give cable and other ammenities just to keep the peace. It's ridiculous.

I understand the "street

I understand the "street credit" part. But how much do you get for armed robbery of a middle schooler for a cell phone?

haha I hear ya!!! lol They

haha I hear ya!!! lol They have to start somewhere I guess. lol Just the fact they pulled a gun is enough. On the street they are considered tough, to the rest of society they are cowards. They will happen upon another teen just as dangerous as them one day, and the end result wont be pretty.

If they listed their name, it

If they listed their name, it is safe to assume that they will be charged as adults, as they should be.

Just because he is a douche

Just because he is a douche doesn't make what he said any less likely.

Ive been working @ this

Ive been working @ this school for a couple months on the new construction, during my time there Ive seen and heard quite a few fights but last week I saw a fight break out between 2 small boys that looked to be about 10 years old.I didnt see any teachers around so I went towards them tellin them to break it up,they didnt pay me any attention at all lol, next thing I know 2 BOE police (female)came barreling down the hall I didnt even notice them till I was almost knocked down by one of the police. One of the officers grabbed 1 boy by the arm and the other (much bigger) pushed the other boy against the wall where she placed her knee in his back then slammed his face 1st into the concrete floor and jumped on top of him as if she were subduing him.I remember making the comment that I thought it was a bit much treating a 60 pound kid like a grown man to which a male teacher said "yea were hands on here". I understand they have some pretty ruff "kids" there but if she woulda treated my son like that over a fist fight I woulda given her every opportunity to do me that way!!!!! WOW things have changed since I was in school,I was shocked by what I saw for days.
