AIKEN – Crews are still attempting to remove a tractor trailer tank that stalled traffic at Langley Dam and Carline roads this afternoon.

The driver of the trailer was attempting to turn from Langley Dam Road when the tank detached from the truck and fell on a railroad track about 2:30 p.m., an Aiken County 911 dispatcher said. The tank contained plastic containers of liquid, but the dispatcher could not confirm the substance that was being transported.

Deputies have erected a detour.

How the tank detached from

How the tank detached from the truck, is movable object striking an immobile object. They secure those tracks very well, the jackstand of the tank hung too low. Ditto on notifing Norfork Southern.
