Richmond County Sheriff’s Office charged Jeremiah Williamson, 23, of the 3000 block of Miranda Road, with armed robbery, and he is being held without bond at the Richmond County Jail.

Around 10:34 a.m., deputies responded to a bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank, located in the 2700 block of Peach Orchard Road. Witnesses told police the suspect entered the bank wearing a mask, brandishing a black handgun and demanding money. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a small grey vehicle.

An officer recalled taking a missing vehicle report of a similar vehicle earlier today. The owner of the vehicle had loaned his Mazda Millenia to Mr. Williamson.

Deputies located the vehicle around 12:30 p.m. at Mr. Williamson’s sister’s home in the 250 block of Tara Heights Circle. Mr. Williamson was found hiding under a bed.

Mr. Williamson is also being held on charges of burglary, two counts of financial transaction card fraud and a state court bench warrant in unrelated incidents.

He BORROWED a car to pull a bank heist? Had he returned the car in a timely way the cops might still be putting clues together, as it was, the car owner reported it to the police as missing and the cops knew who to look for. What a buffoon! LOL

I liked the hold up mask.

I liked the hold up mask. Somehow I'm reminded of Susan Smith, but in reverse. I wonder if the money was recovered or was it spent already?

"All officers, BOLO, BOLO.

"All officers, BOLO, BOLO. Gray Mazda Millenium with the interior soaked with red bank dye." That would be a hard one to find. And then the dumbakk didn't even have the sense to hide it or ditch it somewhere.
