The Department of Driver Services will be closed an extra day each month until January, a press release said.

Due to budget cuts imposed by the state, employees will be forced to take four furlough days over the next several months. These include:

Thursday, Oct. 22

Thursday, Nov. 19

Friday, Dec. 18

Thursday, January 28

Customers may still conduct transactions such as changing an address or replacing a lost license on the department’s website at www.dds.ga.gov.
