A Hephzibah woman was robbed while she was vacuuming her car at a Windsor Spring Road gas station in the middle of the night.

The 62-year-old said two men approached while she was at Kangaroo Express, 4101 Windsor Spring Road, about 2:30 a.m. Monday, a Richmond County sheriff’s report said.

They pointed a handgun at her and said, “Give us your purse, phone and money,” the report stated. After she gave them her purse and money, they left.

AC shall we (insert standard

AC shall we (insert standard description)? I'm sure there was some type of description in the police report. Don't you wonder how big a coward these punks are to rob an elderly woman? I'll bet that somewhere there are a couple of mothers that are just so proud of these thieving little scumbag punks.

Unpublished

Every time I read about these crimes in the stupid hours of the night I have same thought and comment, if you were home in bed, this wouldn't happen. In this case, too bad she didn't have a 45 within reach. If they allowed her to reach for her purse etc, she could have blown them away. If enough of these PsOS were blown away, I'd bet the rate of these crimes would drop dramatically.

She was 62 so somehow I'm doubting it was drugs or prostituting but you never know these days. She could have just gotten off work from Wal-Mart or Waffle House or somewhere like that and stopped to get rid of some trash in her car. Either way it was a bad choice to stop that time of night.

Maybe she works

Maybe she works non-traditional hours, maybe she had insomnia, maybe, maybe, maybe. But she wasn't the problem here. We should live in a place safe enough to do what we want or need to do no matter the time of day or night.

Maybe she had finished

Maybe she had finished alphabetizing her spice rack and reorganizing the attic and garage. The two thugs, on the other hand, probably have two speeds: slow & stop.

Okay, anybody with more than

Okay, anybody with more than two brain cells rattling around in their head knows that you do not stop to vacuum your car at 2:30am. Not in a low-crime area, and especially not in Richmond County. That's just asking for trouble. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that the area isn't exactly known for its peaceful, law-abiding citizens. I'm relatively new to the area, and even I know that.

Yes, we SHOULD live in a

Yes, we SHOULD live in a place where it's safe to do that, but we do not. And until we do live in a perfect world, DON'T stop to vacuum your car at 2:30am. There are some people in this world who are going to take your stuff no matter what time of day it is, because they are just plain rotten. But don't help them out by making yourself an easy target!

I have to say that she is

I have to say that she is lucky that they just took the items and left her unhurt and alive. Also everyone must admit that in today's world doing car cleaning alone at that time was definitely not smart. Unless she was expected at the White House, her car could have gone un-vacummed until the sun rose! Like one person has already said there are bad people in the world and there is no need to make an easy target of yourself by taking unecessary chances!

Reposted from R&R - All the scanner said was "Armed robbery" - Suspects in the Kangaroo robbery were two black males in their early 20's. Both slim build with low haircuts. One appromiately 6' tall, the other was approximately 6'6" or 6'7". The shorter one was wearing a red shirt with a red bandana over his face, the tall one, who displayed the silver semi-auto handgun, was wearing a blue shirt with a blue bandana over his face. Can somebody please tell me when the Crips and the Bloods teamed up to knock off C-Stores?

Shouldn't speculate about a

Shouldn't speculate about a person's "common sense." Age of 62 is when "dementia" starts to creep in. Dementia destroys your inhibitions/judgement about the dangers you face.

Hey Charlie, how old are you?

Hey Charlie, how old are you? There are lots of people I know in their 70's even 80's who still have very sharp minds, 62 is actually still pretty young. who knows why this woman was out so late, but not for us to judge, you should be able to vacumn your car anytime without the fear of being robbed. When we start living our lives in fear then the criminals win. Just pack a gun and be ready to surprise their [filtered word]es, bet they would think twice about robbing someone again.

A 62 year old should be able to go where and when she pleases, it's not like she had to get up and go to work, or a bunch of little kids that need her attention. Wake up you stupid it's the people it's the other nuts out there that were in the wrong. !!!!!
