An 18-year-old Augusta man was robbed at gunpoint while changing a flat tire on his vehicle near the intersection of Peach Orchard and Byrd roads this morning.

A Richmond County sheriff’s report says that while the man was changing his tire about 1:30 a.m., a man and woman pulled up next to him in a mid to late 90’s model white Honda Civic or Accord with dark tinted windows. The robbers pointed a laser sight on the gun at the man and demanded his wallet and cell phone. After the man gave the items to the robbers, they fled in an unknown direction on Peach Orchard Road.
