Richmond schools planning to start flu shots Sept. 28

Richmond County schools will hold flu shot clinics beginning the week of Sept. 28.

The clinics will be offered at every school in the district that has at least 20 people – to include students, family members and staff - with signed consent forms, said schools spokesman Louis Svehla on Wednesday.

The cost will be $25. The health department will set up in a conference room for several hours on a school’s assigned day, with nurses administering the shots.

Mr. Svehla said it’s the second year the school-based shot clinics have been offered.
