'Memory walk' for Alzheimer's in Aiken Saturday

AIKEN -- A walk to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s will take place in Aiken on Saturday.

The 2009 Memory Walk will begin at 10 a.m. at the Odell Weeks Activities Center located at 1700 Whiskey Rd. The Memory Walk is the nation’s largest event that supports Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Since 1989, more than $260 has been raised for the cause through the walk. Local residents have helped raise $15,452 for the walk this year.
